MEDIAGIRLS is looking for a video content intern for the fall 2021 semester who can commit to researching, creating, and scheduling video content for our various social media platforms (primarily TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube).

Your goals are to: 

  1. Create original and on-brand content that highlights MEDIAGIRLS mission. (Content will be reviewed by MG staff before being posted.)
  2. Shine the media spotlight on empowering girls and women through curated social media shoutouts and sharing tools (for example: stitching a TikTok)
  3. Encourage our social media audiences to be a part of the MEDIAGIRLS community and mission.
  4. Collaborate with staff and other interns on making content that connects to the MEDIAGIRLS short-term and long-term goals. 

We are looking for interns who are not only interested in gaining more social media and content creation experience, but have a demonstrable passion for issues of gender, race, representation, and media! 

Time commitment: Maximum of 10 hours per week; September-December; minimum 3 month committment 

Location: Remote

Status: Part-Time, Temporary Position

Compensation: This is an unpaid position. There is opportunity for school credit if allowed by the college/university of applicant. Position offers an excellent opportunity to work on substantive projects and can result in a great reference.
