Angela Scott, Executive Director

Angela is a strategic, big-picture thinker who is the right person to help MEDIAGIRLS scale to the next level. She has been involved with the organization for over four years, starting as a volunteer in 2016 and then hired on as a staff member in 2017. In her role as Program Coordinator, she managed all of the after-school programs in Boston. Throughout the past four years she has taken on numerous roles within the organization, most recently as a part-time Operations Consultant. Angela has been instrumental in helping MEDIAGIRLS with strategic planning and implementation, and back-end operational systems to help us grow. Angela holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from Bentley University and is currently pursuing her Masters in Nonprofit Management at Northeastern University. She is an accomplished marathon runner, with four marathons under her belt. She resides in the North End neighborhood of Boston.


Amanda Mozea, Education Outreach ManagerĀ 

Amanda graduated from Harvard College in March of 2018. Throughout her college career, Amanda was deeply involved in community service on campus, volunteering for organizations like Strong Women Strong Girls and Best Buddies. In addition to her volunteerism, she served as the Alumni History Coordinator at Phillips Brooks House Association, the student-led epicenter of community service at the college. Since graduating, Amanda has worked as the Education Outreach Manager at MEDIAGIRLS. At MEDIAGIRLS, Amanda directs programming with girls, parents, and educators all around the country and all around the world! By empowering girls and young women with the skills to be critical media consumers, Amanda has seen firsthand the power of young people using their social media platforms to be authentic advocates for positive change.
