In Part 2, MEDIAGIRLS participants create, launch and promote a social campaign of their own choosing that in someway empowers girls and women. During the first lesson, we asked the girls to review what they see as the pros and cons of social media. Then we talked about the unwritten and made-up rules of social media. We also showed them some examples of media campaigns including some previous MEDIAGIRLS campaigns so they can start to get inspired. We finally asked them to start thinking of ideas for their own campaign.
